She-Hulk Disney+ Series Gets First Teaser

The first trailer for Marvel’s She-Hulk was released on Friday as part of the big Disney+ Day celebration. The teaser offered a quick — but distinct — glimpse of the Marvel Comics heroine’s live-action debut, with scenes that fans are still digesting. The chemistry between cousins Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk (Tatiana Maslany) and Bruce Banner/Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) has undoubtedly stood out, and one of their sequences together has a startling Easter egg. The clip concludes with what appears to be a self-aware infomercial for Jennifer’s legal firm, in which she delivers the famed “Don’t make me furious – you wouldn’t like me when I’m angry” phrase. The phrase—and the entire scenario, right down to Bruce’s light blue costume—is a nod to an episode of the original Incredible Hulk series, in which Dr. David Banner (Bill Bixby) said it. You can see the reference down below:

Given that She-Hulk is the Hulk franchise’s first entry onto television since the 1978 television series, the line is a subtle nod to where many fans first saw the Hulk. The Incredible Hulk, who memorably portrayed Banner’s physical Hulk form in The Incredible Hulk, already discussed the She-Hulk series earlier this year. “I believe it’s a fantastic notion,” Ferrigno stated at the time, “but I think we have to become retrained from seeing too many special effects because the more real and organic the character can be, the more convincing.” So we’ll have to wait and see what happens because it could work for ‘Star Wars’ or it might work for other films, but you know, when you have too much CGI, it gets confusing.

She-Hulk’s Cast and Plot:

She-Hulk casts Maslany as Jennifer Walters, a New York City lawyer whose life is altered after she is involved in an accident that necessitates a blood transfusion from her cousin, Bruce Banner. As a result, Jennifer acquires her own version of the Hulk’s powers, which have an impact on both her life as a lawyer and her newfound life as a superhero. Mark Ruffalo will play The Hulk, Jameela Jamil will play Titania, and Tim Roth will play The Abomination, while Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Anais Almonte, and Renee Elise Goldsberry will play unspecified parts. Jessica Gao, whose portfolio includes Silicon Valley and Rick and Morty, will oversee the ten-episode series. Kat Coiro (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Brooklyn Nine-Nine) and Anu Valia will direct the series (Never Have I Ever, A.P. Bio). Are you looking forward to Marvel’s She-Hulk series?
