Matt Rife Show Erupts in Controversy Once Again After Former Adult Film Star Gets Escorted Out in Handcuffs

Two such people have faced a similar situation, with former adult movie star Lisa Ann getting arrested at Matt Rife’s comedy show in New York yesterday. The adult movie actress took to social media to express her dismay over the situation and how it ruined her evening.
Why Did Lisa Ann Get Arrested?
The video of Lisa Ann walking by in handcuffs has gone viral on X. Reportedly, she was arrested during Matt Rife’s comedy show in Radio City Music Hall, New York. the 51-year-old retired adult actress has been friends with Rife, a well-known comedian and improv artist, for a long time. She was attending the show to appreciate and cheer for her friend but things did not go as planned.
Rife has been on his ProbleMATTic world tour with the new comedy sketch. While most artists don’t allow attendees to use phones while the show is going on, Rife did not seem to have such a policy. Yet, Ann was arrested for using her mobile phone during his performance. She first posted a video of her being arrested on social media and then she explained the circumstances surrounding the arrest.

The biggest concern for comedians like Rife is the jokes getting leaked on social media thereby decreasing their viewership on digital or even reducing the number of people who buy tickets to see the show live. Reasons surrounding her arrest are unclear even though she says she was released 45 minutes after the arrest. The New York Police Department has not commented on the situation or clarified why the actress was put in handcuffs. Ann is one of the most popular adult movie actresses in the industry. She bid adieu to the industry back in 1997 but came back in 2006. Currently, she operates as a radio host and writer.

Matt Rife Sparked Controversy
This is not the first time we have taken Matt Rife’s name in a controversial situation. Even though this particular happenstance does not pertain to him directly, users on social media took this as an opportunity to comment on Rife and his atrocious comedy skills. Users pointed out how Ann got saved from sitting through an entire show by Rife who is a terrible comedian.
Rife has been facing immense backlash after adding a joke on domestic abuse in his Netflix special. He painted a picture of him eating at a restaurant in Baltimore where his waitress has a black eye. Without missing a beat, he points towards how she must have deserved it and unapologetically goes on with the rest of the set. He said,
“Yeah, but I feel like if she could cook, she wouldn’t have that black eye. I was just testing the waters, seeing if y’all are gonna be fun or not. I figure if we start the show with domestic violence, the rest of the show should be smooth sailing.”
Rife has an image of being unfazed by his comments and opinions of the world and does not care who he offended with his jokes.
