The MCU is seen as the brainchild of Kevin Feige which started almost a decade back in 2008 with Iron Man. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is on the verge of ending its third phase, which will also mark an end to the contracts of numerous MCU stars like Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth and Robert Downey Jr. Avengers 4 will be their last MCU film after which the company will move onto its fourth phase.

Avengers 4 will either see the deaths of all these characters or it will retire them in style. All original six Avengers (from the first Avenger film) survived the deadly snap of Thanos and the upcoming film is going to be huge for all of them. After this, only Scarlett Johannson will stay in the MCU as she still has a prequel solo movie with Marvel.

Both Downey and Evans have confirmed during interviews that they will move ahead with their careers, away from Marvel. However, Hemsworth who plays the mighty Thor has teased to extend his contract. We really hope that the Russo brothers give all these exiting characters a well-deserved farewell.

There is on every man who knows about MCU’s future and that’s the President of MCU, Kevin Feige. Feige is often seen as the man behind the huge success of MCU. MCU fans get to see 2-3 Marvel films in a year, all courtesy of Kevin Feige. In a recent interview with The Costco Connection, he revealed:

“That’s what we can look to in the comics. And that’s why these characters are so relevant. I talk about 10 years of movies, but it’s 50-plus years of comics. And they’re just as relevant and popular And that’s because they do get updated. They do change with the times. I have no doubt that all of our actors, who are in peak physical shape, have got another 50 years in them to be heroes.
In terms of the specifics of how we will evolve the characters, thankfully I don’t have to really think about it yet. Cause we’re still finishing what we started here with Avengers: Infinity War.”

It’s certain that these iconic characters will never be recasted by MCU as there can only be one Iron Man, Captain America and Thor in a universe at a time. Avengers will definitely be game-changing for both, MCU and the fans. Phase 4 will see other heroes like Black Panther and Captain Marvel sharing the limelight.

Avengers 4 will hit the theaters on May 3, 2019.
