Not Captain Marvel or Avengers, Brie Larson Replaced Emma Stone in $202 Million Worth Hit Movie

Emma Stone was the ideal choice for 21 Jump Street
It was evident that Emma Stone and Jonah Hill’s on-screen chemistry was exceptional when they collaborated on the smash comedy Superbad in 2007. So, when word was circulating that they were coming back together for the 2012 movie 21 Jump Street, fans were excited to see what magic they would work together to produce. Stone, together with Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum, seemed like the ideal choice for the movie’s cast. Hollywood loved the pair’s endearing bromance already, and the addition of Stone would definitely have enhanced their on-screen chemistry. But destiny had different ideas for Emma Stone’s career path.
She openly confessed in an interview that she wouldn’t be able to take part in 21 Jump Street while saying how much she admired Jonah Hill. She told MTV, “I don’t think I’m going to be a part of that, but Jonah is one of my favorite people in the entire world.” Due to this turn of events, Brie Larson, another accomplished actress, was able to take on the part.
Emma Stone chose the Marvel franchise over 21 Jump Street
Emma Stone seemed to be the ideal choice for the film 21 Jump Street because of her outstanding performances in Birdman, La La Land, and The Help, among other films. Unfortunately, she received a role offer from Marvel at that moment. Due to a conflict in her schedule caused by her involvement in the Spider-Man trilogy as the iconic Gwen Stacy, she was forced to turn down the role in 21 Jump Street. Despite initially accepting the part, Stone had to make the difficult decision to prioritize her commitment to the superhero film.
