Not What If…? Season 3, Fans Want the MCU to Focus on a Potential Pre Endgame Disney+ Series
Although the MCU has moved way past its Avengers lore, it seems like the audience is reluctant to let go of the world’s mightiest superheroes. They want Marvel to bring back their favorite heroes and their stories, again and again, on-screen, despite Marvel putting out a boatload of content to establish an all-new multiverse for its audience.
The best thing to come out of Marvel in recent years was What If…? which not only fed the hungry MCU audience some dose of nostalgia but is also generally a well-made show that has done storytelling right to the T. It has run successfully for two seasons and a third season is highly anticipated due to its success. However, MCU fans are leaning towards another pre-Endgame storyline that they desperately want to see before anything else.
Marvel Fans Want MCU To Explore What Happened Right After The Blip
The Blip is one of the most tragic events in the MCU. With one snap, Thanos and his Infinity Gauntlet wiped out half of the universe. Fans noticed some of the devastation as Spider-Man turned to dust with the most heartbreaking line of all time: “Mr. Stark… I don’t feel so good.” Black Panther, Falcon, Mantis, Star-Lord, Dr Strange, Scarlet Witch, Nick Fury, and even Groot made the audience cry fat tears after they all disappeared in the blip with seemingly all hope lost.

The world was in five years of darkness, with people losing their loved ones and not knowing when they might come back or if they would ever come back, before Hulk restored Earth’s population with a snap of the Gauntlet. It is a historic moment in the MCU that deserves to be explored more and not just brushed away like Marvel did after Endgame. Recently, fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to demand a series based on the effect of the blip after an X user, MaceAhWindu, started the discussion. Check out some of the tweets that chimed in with support below.
Maybe if it did well, you do another season, set each of the stories about 6 months to a year after the snap. Maybe they’re dealing with the immediate response by the government’s survivors trying to restore order.
New bad guys rising out of the chaos.
a grieving husband, etc

I would love that, maybe even episodes about other heroes dealing with it too.

It really baffles that they didn’t capitalise on this more, the storytelling potential is so clear!

Cool idea, but it's not going to happen bcos the MCU has a weird allergy to exploring what it's like to be the avg person living in its universe
It's been 16ys & the only project I can think of that showed any consistent interest in that is Agents of SHIELD for 1/2 a season

It should have been a phase of the MCU. Like clearly we needed two movies in that world.

While the MCU’s Phase 4 projects like WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Eternals, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness deal with the aftermath of the Thanos snap, there is nothing so far that truly delves into the devastation that it brought on humankind. It would be interesting to see how the Avengers who survived coped with the trauma of losing some of the closest people to them. Hawkeye not only lost his teammates but also his family, so an episode dedicated to that could really pull the audience in.
Did Marvel Reveal The MCU’s Ghost Rider?
It was not long ago that Marvel Television was planning on a Ghost Rider series as part of their VengenceVerse. However, out of the many shows planned, only Helstrom was given the green light since all the Ghost Rider plans were scrapped after Marvel Studio assumed control of Marvel Television.
Recently, Marvel announced that The Hood, or Parker Robbins, would gain control of the Spirit of Vengence and continue the saga. Interestingly enough, Parker Robbins is also set to make his live-action debut in Marvel’s Ironheart. So, it is possible Ghost Rider is coming to TV after all.

If The Hood is not MCU’s Ghost Rider, Gabriel Luna said he will be willing to return to the role with the right conditions (via. comicbook.com)
“I try to stay in the moment. This is interesting, in talking to you, it’s the first time I’ve done some recollection of the experience. You never say no. You always say that it comes down to the story. If it’s a great story and it makes sense and if I still feel the way I felt when I was reading for Jed and Moe that first day with Sarah Finn, it was a few years back, if I still feel it’s just like breathing, that’s what I felt with the character previously, then absolutely.”
Ghost Rider: Final Vengeance #1 hits the shelves on March 13th.
The MCU’s Ironheart is expected to drop on Disney+ this year.
