The Egghead Arc in One Piece has certainly introduced fans to some very interesting characters in the series. However, the Seraphims certainly took the ball regarding the characters that had the most intrigue in the arc. However, as unstoppable as they seemed in the beginning of the series, they were eventually stopped.

Given how much fans of the series loved the Seraphim characters, it was obvious to see them wish for a better ending for the clones. This led a fan of the series to suggest a theory that had a relatively happy ending for the Seraphims.

One Piece Theory: The Seraphim’s rebellion and Mihawk’s unexpected ally?

The warlords are a powerful group of pirates who work for the World Government in order to stop other pirates in exchange for total freedom. However, given that they were still pirates at the core, the Seraphims were created by none other than Vegapunk as a means of creating a more reliable and obedient counterpart of the 7 warlords of the sea.

However, despite being “Strongest form of Humanity” By Vegapunk in the series, the Seraphims eventually lost to the Strawhat pirates and their allies after getting trapped in Lilith’s Seastone-Coated bubbles. However, S-Snake, the clone of Boa Hancock, shares the warlord’s affection towards Luffy, leading her to get convinced by the captain of the Straw Hat pirates to undo the certification of his allies.

This showed that the Seraphims, who were created to just follow orders, had the ability to act out on their own feelings. This led to a user on Reddit by the username @Holynut_717 suggesting that the Seraphims in later chapters could develop free will. In his theory, he wrote;

This particular One Piece theory makes us think about the future of the Seraphims in the series. Considering how valuable they are, it is unlikely for Eiichiro Oda to make the world government keep them offline for future fights. Here are some other theories on the future of Seraphim.

The Seraphim’s humanity and a possible rebellion on the horizon?

Possible allies of Straw Hats: As of now, the Seraphims are just portrayed to be these powerful and more obedient replicas of the warlords. However, given how Luffy was able to influence S-Snake to un-petrify his allies, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Seraphims develop a will of their own. Possibly even helping the Straw Hat pirates take down the World Government in the future.

Future Peacekeepers: The Seraphims are currently just tools of war for the corrupt World Government. However, it’s hard to believe that this is the only purpose set for the Seraphims in the future. Maybe the person controlling the Seraphims after the war could take them down a route as protectors of the civilians in the series.

Seraphims with the Will of D: Though this theory might seem a little far-fetched, there is a possibility for the Seraphims to potentially have the Will of D. Given the Seraphim’s DNA splicing with Lunarian Blood just might lead to an unexpected connection.
