“Or do we adopt an older dog?”: Dog Lovers Will Have Nothing But Love For MCU’s Captain America Chris Evans After Learning His Plan With Alba Baptista
- Chris Evans and Alba Baptista plan to expand their dog family.
- They have a rescue dog named Dodger, who’s nearly 10.
- They’re torn between adopting a puppy or an older dog.
Hollywood star Chris Evans and his beautiful wife Alba Baptista are grappling with a common pet lover’s dilemma: should they get a playful puppy or an older dog? The couple, who tied the knot last September, are considering expanding their furry family.
They already share their lives with a beloved rescue dog, Dodger, who is soon turning 10. Now, they’re excited about the idea of bringing a new dog into their home but are weighing the pros and cons of choosing a puppy versus an older companion.
Chris Evans and Alba Baptista are Planning to Welcome a New Dog
Chris Evans opened up about the touching dilemma he and his wife, Alba Baptista, are facing in an exclusive interview with People magazine. The Captain America star told the outlet:
The question becomes, do we do the puppy route, or do we adopt an older dog? Anytime you see one of those stories about some eight or nine-year-old dog that gets adopted who’s had a rough life, it just kills you. And so, to some degree, that’s kind of what we’ve been thinking.
The actor admitted that even though they really want to adopt another dog, they haven’t done it yet. He joked that they keep talking about visiting a shelter, but they know that if they go, they’ll end up bringing a dog home.
Evans expressed his love for animals by saying he wishes he knew if Dodger would like having another dog around. He would love to ask Dodger because he enjoys being with other dogs.
Chris Evans Keeps Supporting Dogs with Jinx
Chris Evans is continuing his love for dogs while giving back to the community. Even though he’s looking for a new furry friend, the 43-year-old is busy helping other dogs through his partnership with Jinx dog food.
The actor told the same source that he wants to make sure all dogs, no matter their owner’s income, can eat healthy food. His own dog, Dodger, loves the food, which is why Evans decided to join the Jinx team. To give back, Jinx will donate part of its sales to help soldiers.
Starting this August, 5% of every Jinx purchase at Walmart will go to the USO, an organization that supports military members. Evans also shared some funny stories about his playful dog. He loves how silly his pet can be and how Dodger always manages to make him laugh.
