Peaky Blinders Cast: Then vs Now
It’s finally over. On Sunday 3rd April 2022 in the United Kingdom, the renowned BBC One crime drama Peaky Blinders season 6 came to what was always bound to be a dramatic climax. On Friday, June 10th, 2022, the series premiered on Netflix for international viewers. We saw most of the high-profile actors pop up for one more time in a special feature-length conclusion, with Tom Hardy, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Sam Claflin all putting on a show.

This season’s cast has included a number of excellent actors, yet there has been one glaring absence. Helen McCrory, who played Aunt Polly Gray on the show, died tragically in April 2021, and the show paid heartfelt homage to her in the season-opening. Cillian Murphy as Thomas Shelby
Irish-born Cillian Murphy, originally a singer-songwriter from Cork, allegedly turned down a record deal to pursue a career in acting instead. His major break came in the iconic zombie horror film 28 Days Later, in which he played the lead part. He has now gone on to star in a number of Hollywood films, including Christopher Nolan’s forthcoming film Oppenheimer.

The Peaky Blinders’ apparent leader is Thomas ‘Tommy’ Shelby. A devoted family man who is feared across Birmingham and the surrounding areas. He has navigated a road to a seat in parliament by orchestrating his gang’s development and survival. A location where his effect may be felt across England, and possibly beyond.
Paul Anderson as Arthur Shelby
Paul Anderson had his first big role in the adaptation of the British film The Firm. Paul’s role as Arthur Shelby opened the door to Hollywood for him, and he has since acted in films such as The Revenant and In the Heart of the Sea.
Arthur Shelby is the Shelby brothers’ eldest sibling. When Arthur disobeys Tommy’s directives, he may become a liability since he’s hot-tempered, impulsive, and occasionally a loose cannon. He’s attempted to make peace with himself, but can he do the same with his inner demons?
Sophie Rundle as Ada Shelby
Sophie Rundle is an English actress who was born in the small town of High Wycombe. She had a brief role in George Clooney’s sci-fi film The Midnight Sky, while usually appearing in British television shows such as The Nest and Gentlemen Jack.
Ada Shelby, the Shelby’s youngest and most distant sister, lives alone in London. She’s distant from the mundane of ‘family business,’ yet she’s not far from having a role in Tommy’s plots. Ada is nobody’s fool or patsy, even Tommy’s. She’s quiet, restrained, and determined when she needs to be.
Natasha O’Keeffe as Lizzie Shelby
Natasha O’Keeffe is an English television actress who was born in Brighton. She has featured in several different TV series, including one with Benedict Cumberbatch in the BBC’s Sherlock.

A working girl from the gritty neighborhoods of Birmingham’s Small Heath. She has worked her way into Tommy’s heart, become his wife, and given him a daughter, Ruby, despite being a friend to him in more ways than one. She is one of the few individuals who can stand up to her husband Thomas, and her difficult existence has earned her the title Shelby.
Finn Cole as Michael Gray
A British actor – Finn Cole presently appeared in TNT’s Animal Kingdom as Joshua ‘J’ Cody. Finn Cole also had an appearance in F9, a Fast and Furious franchise episode.
Since he was accepted into the Gray family, Michael Gray has been on a life-changing adventure. Tommy’s nephew and his American representative. Michael has become an adversary inside his own family and The Peaky Blinders due to his cunning ambition for power.
