PETA Hunting Kim Kardashian for Breaking ‘No Fur’ Vow, Selling Clothing Made Out of Animal Skin
Once again Kim Kardashian has come under the RADAR of the animal rights group PETA. The socialite was previously called out by an organization’s supporter back in 2019. This led to Kim K denouncing the use of material made out of animal fur.
However recently, it came to light that the Kardashian family was selling a big collection of products via Kardashian Kloset. And it seemed to include a lot of animal fur and exotic animal-skinned goods.
And as a result, PETA is now once again calling about and criticizing the family for not keeping their word. The organization even has a request for reality tv stars regarding what they should be doing with the products.
Kim Kardashian And Her Family Called Out By PETA
Although Kim Kardashian denounced animal fur goods back in 2019, her recent Kardashian Kloset items seem to say otherwise. That year, Kim K was called out by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) supporter Pamela Anderson. Following this, the socialite publicly denounced animal fur items and shared she would be using vegan fur from then on. But now after the discovery of animal fur as well as exotic animal-skinned items in the Kardashian Kloset PETA is dragging the socialite and her family once again.
For those unversed “Kardashian Kloset” is an online store that has a collection of various designer products belonging to the family members. However, the animal rights organization has a different idea about what the Kardashians should instead be doing with the expensive items. PETA senior VP Lisa Lange said in a statement,
“Nothing can undo the suffering of foxes, minks, snakes, and alligators who were killed to make a jacket”
With that, she added a request that the reality tv stars should donate and distribute the items to those in “tremendous” need. And that the rare animal-skinned products be sent for educational display purposes.
The Kardashian-Jenner Clan and Their History with Animal Products
Apart from Kim Kardashian, other members of the family are also guilty of using animal cruelty products. The Jenner sisters have also been called out and criticized by PETA. In the past, Kylie Jenner was spotted wearing animal fur clothing and a bag. Furthermore, she has also reportedly sold an expensive alligator skin clutch and handbag.
Moreover, her model sister Kendall Jenner was similarly called out by the organization for wearing fur. After the ban on the animal fur trade became a central topic, many major brands ditched the use of such items.
