Punky Brewster Sequel Is On Its Way, Soleil Moon Frye to Return
At a time when reviving classic sitcoms has become pretty common, Punky Brewster is scheduled for a comeback.
Punky Brewster Sequel Is Coming!
As per a new report by Deadline, a Punky Brewster sequel series is being developed by the TV Studio UCP. Moreover, Soleil Moon Frye will also return to reprise the titular character on the series. Frye will also be serving as an executive producer on the project. This will be the first ever family/multi-camera sitcom by the studio, which has produced Happy!, Psych and Difficult People.
Punky Brewster premiered way back in 1984 and revolved around a little girl named Punky Brewster who was abandoned by her own parents. She sneaks into an apartment building rundown where she’s taken in by the building manager Henry who adopted her. The original Punky Brewster series won many Emmy Awards and was really popular among fans, even getting an animated spinoff.

What will the plot of Punky Brewster?
The revival of Punky Brewster will see her as a single mother to three children who end up meeting a young girl who reminds her of herself during her young days. The show will be produced by Jim Armogida and Steve, who will also write the episodes of the series.
