The trailer for Blue Lock Season 2 initiates with Ego Jinpachi, the General Director of the Blue Lock program, delivering a speech to the participants. These are the 35 players who made it through the difficult Second Selection held during the previous season.

However, fans of Blue Lock are disgruntled over the fact that the new season will only have 14 episodes, compared to the 24 episodes of Season 1. An X user even commented under the post: “Remember when 25 episodes was normal?”

It is a real shame that Season 2 will be getting only 14 episodes, considering the fact that fans are so excited for the new season, only to be disappointed by the dearth of episodes.

Isagi talks about how excited he is to compete against the U-20 players and how it will change his life. Shortly after, Oliver Aiku, one of the most significant characters of the next season, is briefly shown.

The captain of the Japanese U-20 National Soccer Team, Oliver Aiku, will be crucial to the outcome of the next game against the Blue Lock players. Aiku has a point to prove as a defender against a team made up mostly of forwards, which will surely motivate him to play well against his rivals.

Oliver will be voiced by Satoshi Hino, who is known for his roles as Kyojuro Rengoku in Demon Slayer and Daichi Sawamura in Haikyuu!!
