Episode 9 of Sakamoto Days titled “All Aboard” saw the show’s longest-running arc end. The episode concluded with two major fights, with Seba being defeated by the collective teamwork of Heisuke and Shin, with us getting to see how Heisuke’s imagination might not be the greatest.

We also got to see the battle between Kashima and Sakamoto escalating, as the deer man transforms various parts of his body into weapons in an attempt to catch the legendary hitman off-guard.

As the fight progresses and the two crash into a public train, Sakamoto uses the opportunity to burn off his body fat, returning to his muscular form, and defeats Kashimo.

With the ending of Sakamoto Days Episode 9 revealing the antagonist Slur to us, fans may expect Episode 10 to build up on him and perhaps include him in its story. But unfortunately for them, the title of the episode (Bathhouse Mode) suggests otherwise.

By looking at the title, we predict that this episode of Sakamoto Days will be adapting Chapter 32 of the manga, which shows the Sakamotos going to the public bath.

But since this chapter is not long enough to stretch to the length of an entire episode, we predict that Chapter 33 and parts of Chapter 34 might also be adapted, starting the Triad Arc and introducing Wutang, who is a member of Lu’s mafia family.

The Triad Arc is a relatively shorter arc when compared to the Lab Arc and does not have a lot of combat or action. We predict that this arc will likely be concluded in the final episode of the season, and the epilogue of the season will be used to set up the Death Row Prisoners Arc of the manga.

Sakamoto Days‘ choice to end the first season of its anime with an arc that doesn’t have a lot of action is odd, but by adapting the silliness of the manga and by setting up the next season in a proper way, they can continue to hype up their fans.

Sakamoto Days is available to stream on Netflix.
