Previously on Sakamoto Days
Episode 10 of Sakamoto Days titled “Bathhouse Mode” picked up after the events of Episode 9 and saw the Sakamoto family going to a local bathhouse to relax and take a break from the world of assassins.
In Sakamoto’s own wise words, “Knowing when to rest so you can stay at your best is part of being first-class”. But little do they know that the world of assassins is an unpredictable one.
Soon after the family enters the bathhouse, the owner of the establishment (who is also an assassin by the way) recognizes Sakamoto from an old wanted poster. Realizing that capturing him can get him a lot of money, the owner decides to use his bathhouse to kill the legendary hitman.

This showcases the brilliant world of Sakamoto Days where even a bathouse can become a weapon for assassination. The sauna transforms into an air fryer, emitting massive heat, which the owner hopes, will kill Sakamoto. But all it does is help him relax further.
The showers transform into mighty waterfalls and the baths transform into cold glaciers, but nothing is enough to kill the mighty Sakamoto. This experience frustrates the assassin so much, that he decides to quit.

While all of the bathhouse drama takes place in the first half of the episode, the second half does some justice to Lu Shoatang, placing her in the center of it all. In this half of episode 11, we are introduced to Wutang, a consigliere of the Wutang mafia, who is here to take Lu back to China.
Lu, of course, refuses to go back with him and Sakamoto supports her decision. Wutang then proposes that if they can beat him at gambling, Lu is free to do what she wants. The episode ends with the gambling match about to begin.
Episode 11 of Sakamoto Days spoilers: What to expect?
Spoiler alert: Manga spoilers ahead!
Based on where Episode 10 of Sakamoto Days left us off, we predict that Episode 11, titled “Casion Battle” will show us the gambling matches that take place in order for the Sakamotos to defeat Wutang.
Looking at the story from the point of the manga, it is clear that the episode will adapt the event from Chapter 35 to 36, and maybe a bit of Chapter 37, if the pacing allows it.
Episode 11 will give viewers the chance to see just how brilliant of a strategist Wutang can be, with even Lu hyping him up as having an enormous IQ and being unbeatable in gambling. As the episode progresses, we see how Shin and Sakamoto are the only members who are able to reach the finals to gamble against Wutang.
We will also be getting some fun moments, such as when Shin gets a nosebleed because of reading Wutang’s complex mind and then being knocked out.
The episode will ultimately end with Sakamoto winning the bet and Wutang giving them more information about the mysterious “Slur” and the death-row prisoners that he freed into the city.
While choosing to end the first part of the series with a peaceful episode is certainly an odd choice, it will do a great job of setting up the second part of Sakamoto Days, which will air later this year. The first part so far has gotten mixed reactions from the audience and fans hope that the second part will do a better job at the adaptation.
Sakamoto Days is available to stream on Netflix.
