‘Sakamoto Days’ Episode 8 Release Date, Spoilers, and What to Expect

Sakamoto Days episode 7 dropped, and it finally appeased the fans with a consistent art style and quick pace. Everyone welcomed the arrival of the quirky characters and appreciated the new ending.

At first, it seemed peace was finally at the Sakamoto household, but a new threat came barging into their convenience store just when Taro Sakamoto was not there. We also got to explore Shin’s past a lot more.

This coupled with the addition of some of the best action sequences, has heightened anticipation amongst fans for episode 8.

Sakamoto Days episode 8 should be released on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at exactly 6 AM Pacific Time and 9 AM Eastern Time. Sadly, this episode has already been released in Japan, and international viewers will have to wait one week more before Netflix releases it for them.

Apart from Netflix, fans from Japan can also watch all the episodes on regional broadcasting channels like TV Tokyo, Hokkaido TV, etc. However, the availability of the local channels will depend on Japan’s different regions.

Sakamoto Days episode 7 recap

Episode 7 of Sakamoto Days was a bit different because Taro Sakamoto was away with his family while his underlings looked after his convenience store. However, when there is no one to control them, Shin and Lu can become uncooperative, and that is precisely what happened.

Shin goes off to cool his head only to return to find the convenience store empty and Lu nowhere to be found. She actually got kidnapped by a bunch of very foolish kidnappers who thought she was Shin even though her gender or her appearance did not match him.

But the assailants are not some random villains. They come from the Okutabi Lab that Shin once called home. Apparently, they used to be a bunch of friendly people but now are controlled by the very eccentric and psychotic Kashima. He wished to venture into scientific methods to kill people and has since controlled the Lab for that purpose.

Needless to say, Taro and Shin both infiltrate the Lab to save Lu and start their fights against all the threats that come their way. Their first important opponent is Mad Horiguchi.

Sakamoto Days episode 8 spoiler and expectation

Episode 8 of Sakamoto Days should start right from the part where Shishiba and Osaragi arrive at the Lab in search of Slur. We will then witness Sakamoto and Shin fighting Mad Horiguchi while he uses his tricks on them.

Horiguchi will prove to be a mighty opponent as not only can he control others, but he can also become physically very powerful. However, this should not be a problem for Sakamoto to handle with the help of Shin.

Here, we will also see Kashima and two of his followers facing off against Shishiba and Osaragi from the Order. We will finally catch them in action and find out how they both fight. This altercation should be the most intriguing aspect of the next episode, as none of the characters involved in this skirmish are right in the head.

Finally, we might also witness Sakamoto and Shin join them. It will be interesting to see how Sakamoto and Shin would save themselves and get to Lu while dodging these threats.

The hype for this episode is very apparent amongst the fans who want to see an all-out battle. It will be different from the slice-of-life vibe that Sakamoto Days had at the beginning, which fans did not appreciate.
