Salma Hayek Revealed That Samuel L. Jackson Was Aware About Her Eternals Secret

Marvel’s upcoming Eternals is going to hit the theaters on November 5. It will be a debut for multiple actors in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. One such actor is Salma Hayek, who is popularly known for playing Dogma, Desperado, Frida, and much more. She has also appeared in the recently released The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard and The Hitman’s Bodyguard with other two Marvel stars, namely Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson. During a very recent interview, Salma Hayek revealed that Samuel L. Jackson discovered her Marvel secret.

When asked about whether or not Reynolds and Jackson gave her any advice on Marvel, she replied that it was terrible. Later, she added that it wasn’t that terrible because when she was doing the film, she had to swear the secret that nobody knew. Apparently, all the other actors at that point were talking about the Marvel film as Ryan, who played Deadpool, was now going to be introduced in the MCU. To this, Anjelina Jolie, Hayek’s co-star, echoed that she loved it. But didn’t love the fact that they were sitting around and talking when she was sitting holding the fact that she is going to be the leader of the team Eternals.

Later, Hayek added that she wasn’t sitting back with that much amount of confidence. She was perhaps dying to speak up about the secret. She said “I wanted them to know so badly, I was not like smiling. I was like, ‘Oh, I wonder if I get fired if I just say it to these two,’ you know? And also because they were asking questions to each other because Deadpool wasn’t, but now it is, and Ryan was entering, and Sam is the expert.” Hayek also added that she was trying to listen and take part in the conversation by asking some little questions to learn more about the MCU.

Hayek also revealed that one day she was sitting with Sam when the actor asked her directly: “So, how much are they going to pay you?” To this, Hayek cross-questioned him, which character are you going to play?

She continued by mentioning that she didn’t reveal anything and denied it by saying “What are you talking about?” But the actor referred to the moment as ‘incredible’ because she never expected Samuel L. Jackson to know the secret already.

With that being said, Marvel’s Eternals is going to release on November 5, 2021.
