"Securing the final bag before ending his career": Cristiano Ronaldo Ridiculed For Accepting $214.07 Million Deal From Saudi Arabian Club Al Nassr

Making of history. This is a signing that will motivate not only our team to further its success but also our league, our country, and the next generation of young men and women to strive to be the best versions of themselves. The official announcement of Cristiano Ronaldo’s signing with Al Nassr has been made. It had long been the subject of rumors that he might join the Saudi Arabian team. Ronaldo reportedly received offers to stay in Europe, but none of them satisfied his requirements, so he decided to accept Al Nassr’s original offer instead.

After having a falling out with the team over a botched summer transfer and a bombshell interview, the 37-year-old left Manchester United upon the mutual termination of his contract in November and has since been a free agent. The club’s official Twitter account tweeted on Friday evening, “The world’s greatest athlete officially signed,” along with images of Ronaldo holding the Al Nassr jersey aloft.

Fans mock Cristiano Ronaldo as he agrees to a $214.07 million-a-year deal with Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr

Now, Cristiano Ronaldo, a five-time winner of the Ballon d’Or, has agreed to a deal that will last until 2025. Earlier in December, it was reported that Ronaldo would earn somewhere around $200 million if he joined the club. The player is said to have signed on Friday afternoon. While the news may be positive for Ronaldo, football fans have criticized him on Twitter for signing a $214.07 million contract with Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia. They couldn’t help but react when they heard that Ronaldo and Al Nassr had reportedly agreed to a two-and-a-half-year contract worth an unbelievable $214.07 million annually.

One fan tweeted: “Cristiano Ronaldo securing the final bag before ending his incredible career. Nobody will remember him for his stint at Al-Nassr the same way nobody remembers the final years of Di Stéfano or Maradona. What a ride it’s been.” Another remarked: “Maradona ended his career in style by bringing a Libertadores trophy to Boca juniors, other than the bans he got he ended his career way better than Ronaldo is doing footballing-wise.” While, one wrote, “Unfortunately, he moved to the worst club in Saudi Arabia. It is a shame and a scandal for Cristiano. He destroyed his history with this transfer. He betrayed all his fans.”

Others, however, expressed their displeasure on social media and warned that football might suffer as a result of his alleged move. “Football will be strange if Messi goes to the MLS and Ronaldo goes to Saudi Arabia the following year,” a fan wrote. “Can’t allow that to happen.”

And what’s more!

Cristiano Ronaldo is widely regarded as a football legend to ever play the game like anybody else. And due to this, the legendary Portuguese player has been given the chance to sign a free transfer deal with Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia. And now, since he has reportedly accepted the million-dollar deal, the Suadi team would give him a massive contract worth $200 million annually (through 2025). As a result, Ronaldo could earn an astounding $400 million while playing for Al Nassr.

Though the 37-year-old forward’s dream of playing Champions League football appears to be over, he will be well-paid and have a lot of influence with his new team. Ronaldo will work for Al-Nassr and earn a staggering $200 million annually. After his playing career concludes in 2024, he will also serve as their ambassador.
