“She shames me everyday”: Ben Affleck’s Comments About His Ex-wife Jennifer Garner After Their Movie ‘Daredevil’ Was Not Shocking For the Fans
On the sets of Daredevil, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner developed a romantic relationship. They fell in love while filming Pearl Harbor, but it wasn’t until Daredevil that they knew they wanted to spend their lives together. On February 14, 2003, the Action Fantasy movie debuted in theaters. Mark Steven Johnson served as the film’s director.
Garner portrayed Elektra, while Affleck took on the role of Matt Murdock. The action-packed movie featured numerous stunts, and Garner emerged as a superstar because she was more skilled at pulling them off than Affleck.
Ben Affleck said Jennifer Garner was better than him during the action scenes
The romance between Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner in the film went beyond the typical romantic moments. Together, Affleck and Garner performed multiple stunts. In an interview, the 50-year-old actor acknowledged that his ex-wife Garner was a lot better at doing stunts than he was.
Jennifer Lopez’s husband claimed that his ex-lover had embarrassed him when it came to performing action acts because she was extremely good at it. Affleck said,
“Jennifer’s great, she’s fabulous. She’s actually better at the fighting than I am. She has had so much training from the Alias thing and she’s a dancer, so she shames me every day.”
Although Affleck claimed he wasn’t as skilled as Garner at performing stunts, Garner claims Affleck surprised him by how quickly he picked everything up.

Jennifer Garner says Ben Affleck rooted for her during actions scenes
Garner and Affleck were each other’s biggest supporters. On the movie set, the two actors also knew how to support one another. But this time, Garner wanted Affleck to be a little more guarded around her instead of the other way around. Garner stated that when Affleck unexpectedly showed up on the sets of her film The Kingdom, he wasn’t worried about her at all because he knew Garner is capable of pulling off these action scenes.
During an Interview, Garner talked about how Affleck rooted for her, she said,
“We had a blast. I wish he felt that way about real life. He was visiting the set the day that I shot this fight scene and I thought it would have made him a little bit nervous to see him chucking me against the wall harder and harder with every take but he was a little too calm about it.”
She further added,
“Between us, I thought he could have been a little bit more, ‘My wife! You’d better be careful with her.’ He was just like, ‘Go! Go for it, babe! Harder!’”
In 2005, Affleck and Garner exchanged vows. The Town actor received a lot of support from the actress during his battle with alcoholism. They have 3 children together. In October 2018, the former couple’s divorce became official.
