Over the years, the team’s varied members have witnessed a plethora of disasters invade people’s lives in startling and sad ways. While the MCU has given these storylines to life in live action, it doesn’t make them any less tragic. Nevertheless, there have been a number of pivotal moments in Marvel history that did not make it to the big screen, despite the fact that they impacted the course of the comic. Despite the fact that several of the Avengers have hailed from less-than-heroic backgrounds, none of them compares to Black Widow. Natasha was chosen as a child for a programme that taught her to be an assassin. She did a lot of nasty things for bad people before joining S.H.I.E.L.D. While the nature of her misdeeds is unknown, Loki mentions a few of them. He brings up Dreykov’s daughter, Sao Paulo, and the hospital fire, all of which appear to be haunting Natasha.

5. Wanda’s Loss Of Sanity:

One of the comic series’ most devastating occurrences occurred during Avengers Disassemble, the narrative that finally led to the relaunch of the Avenger’s titles. Wasp’s careless statement about parenthood aroused Wanda’s hidden memories of her lost twins, William and Thomas, in the plot. As a result, Wanda became irritated. Agatha Harkness, Wanda’s mentor, buried this recollection in her mind. This break undoubtedly mirrors the sadness contained in the live-action series for WandaVision viewers. Wanda’s loss of sanity demonstrates the enormous psychological and emotional toll that heroics may exact on an individual. There’s just so much a hero can take.

4. Captain America: Not Telling Tony The Truth

Steve Rogers is such a good person that it’s difficult to imagine him doing anything bad. However, he learns numerous times that the proper thing to do is not always obvious, and he might occasionally make the wrong decision. When Tony learns that the Winter Soldier murdered his parents, he asks Steve whether he was aware of it, and Steve replies that he was. Though Steve was merely attempting to defend Bucky and save Tony, his decision shatters their friendship and the Avengers at a critical juncture.

3. The Storyline Where Captain America Was A Fascist:

Secret Empire, a 2017 Marvel Comics storyline, revealed Steve Rogers to be a long-time Hydra agent. In this scenario, the Allies losing the war until they obtained the Cosmic Cube and used it to shift Captain America’s loyalties and sway World War II in their favor. This infuriated Marvel fans, especially considering the harsh political context of 2016-2017. Fans generally believed that the timing of this plot couldn’t have been worse, and the sequence of Captain America exclaiming, “Hail Hydra,” did a lot of damage. While the MCU made light of it, it was thankfully retconned in comics.

2. Thor: Taunting Thanos:

Tragic events appear to be required for superheroes. But no other Avengers member has experienced as much loss as Thor. The God of Thunder has lost his whole family and many friends. His people have been slain, and his house has been devastated. That enormous loss, combined with his egotistical desire for vengeance, resulted in a disastrous error. Thor, armed with Stormbreaker, is the only one who can kill Thanos and prevent him from wiping out half the universe. His hubris, however, gets the best of him, and Thor does not kill Thanos so that he may torment him. Thanos uses the opportunity to snap his fingers and complete his purpose.

Nobody expected a catastrophe of this magnitude to shatter the world of Marvel Comics. The assassination of the Captain was one of the most emotional events for the fans. In the aftermath of the Civil War, Captain America gave himself up for arrest in order to put an end to the carnage between the warring factions. On orders from Doctor Faustus, a brainwashed Sharon Carter killed Steve as he was being escorted into a courtroom. This not only hurts because of Steve and Sharon’s long-running romance in the comics, but Sharon would later discover she was pregnant with Steve’s kid. While many fans do not have positive memories of the Civil War, the tragedy was nevertheless devastating.
