As reported by Daniel Richtman, the creator of the Marvel series Daredevil, Drew Goddard is apparently Kevin Feige’s next choice to direct the next chapter in the story of our beloved web crawler. Drew Goddard is known for his extensive work outside of the MCU with movies like The Cabin in the Woods, Bad Times at the El Royale, and Cloverfield. He writes and directs on his own to have larger control over the narrative and drive the story as per his vision.

The project got scrapped, and Goddard eventually went on to work on the Daredevil series. Fans are eager to see Goddard’s version of the Spider-Man story and how he sets up the superhero’s story to be further merged with the Avengers saga.

Taking off after everyone forgets who’s Spider-Man, the story will most likely follow Peter’s life as he tries to reconnect with his friends and try to live an ordinary life, away from the fame of the mask. Moreover, after we saw Daredevil’s cameo in the third Spider-Man movie and with Goddard in talks to direct the fourth installment, there can be a possible team-up between Daredevil and Spider-Man on the cards.

Reddit threads are fired up with this news as fans debate the best man for the job and what should be included in the upcoming movie. Everything else aside, fans are united on the fact that Tom Holland’s Peter Parker has grown immensely since his first stint in the Civil War flick, and we can’t wait to see what he does in the upcoming instalments.
