Toriyama’s work with Goku has become a character that all fans of the world cherish. From incredible fights and power-ups, the series managed to keep most viewers hooked to their screen. However, there is a particular form that Dragon Ball fans hold close to their heart.
Dragon Ball fans give their take on their favorite form of Goku
One key reason that made Akira Toriyama‘s Dragon Ball series from Toei Animation so beloved among the anime community is their power-ups From witnessing the first ever Super Sayian form against Frieza on planet Nemek to now, having multiple evolution and variations of the forms. Goku mastering a majority of the power-ups. However, for a few fans, there is one form that manages to stick out from the rest.
A Reddit post that was posted a year ago started a discussion among the Dragon Ball community about which of Goku’s forms had better character designs. A few comments certainly stood out from the rest as they truly appreciated the minor yet impactful design changes that made Goku’s Super Saiyan 2 form stand out from his other transformations.

The Dragon Ball Z: Buu Saga gave fans some of the best and most iconic fight scenes in the history of the series. But the showdown between Goku and Majin Vegeta held a special place in the hearts of many. Viewers witnessed the two rivals turn Super Sayian two and go on a full-out brawl. Despite the Price of Saiyans getting the better of the exchanges, Goku’s SSJ2 transformation still remained a fan favorite for some die-hard fans of the anime. However, there are a few ways that the fight could’ve been better.
How Majin Vegeta vs. Goku could’ve been more of a treat for fans
1. A longer fight: Fans saw glimpses of their insane power in the fight between Majin Vegeta and Goku. But given that Goku was holding back in the fight, a full-blown brawl, pushing both to their limits, would’ve been epic. The conclusion of the fight would have most likely been in favor of the Sayian raised on Earth.
2. Possibility of Vegeta breaking his limit: Remember how Goku held back, hoping to knock some sense into the Prince of Saiyans? Now imagine a world where that didn’t take place. A desperate Vegeta, fueled by the Majin curse, could’ve maybe broken the limiter for the prideful Saiyan, actually transform into a super Saiyan 3.
3. A Super Saiyan 3 clash: The fight between Goku and Majin Vegeta at Super Saiyan 3 would’ve completely blown the minds off of readers. Given how incredible the fight between the two at Super Saiyan 2 was, the fight at Super Saiyan 3 would’ve been much more superior.
