Star Wars’ Ahsoka Tano Series Has Finally Found Its Sabine Wren
Sabine Wren has been cast in Disney+’s upcoming Star Wars series Ahsoka:
Sabine Wren has been cast in Disney+’s upcoming Star Wars series, Ahsoka. According to Deadline, Natasha Liu Bordizzo will play Sabine in her debut live-action role. Her most well-known films include Guns, Akimbo, and Hotel Mumbai. Following months of rumours regarding Sabine’s involvement in the show, it was rumored in August that Lucasfilm was attempting to cast her as Ahsoka. The character, who first appears in Rebels, is a Mandalorian warrior and member of Clan Wren with a talent for painting. Over the course of Rebels, she would come into control of the iconic Darksaber, which played a significant role in The Mandalorian and symbolized Mandalore’s liberation and restoration. She would eventually hand over the weapon to Bo-Katan Kryze, who had lost it to Moff Gideon prior to the events of The Mandalorian.
Sabine’s most recent appearance was in the Rebels season finale, where she and Ahsoka went in quest of Ezra Bridger:
Sabine’s most recent appearance was in the Rebels season finale, where she and Ahsoka went in pursuit of Ezra Bridger after he and Grand Admiral Thrawn vanished in a pod of purrgil. Meanwhile, despite not being accompanied by Sabine, Ahsoka made it plain during her debut in Season 2 of The Mandalorian that she was still looking for Ezra. The addition of Sabine to the Ahsoka series comes after series actor Rosario Dawson appeared to confirm that Mena Massoud and Lars Mikkelsen will play Ezra and Thrawn, respectively, as well as the surprising announcement that Hayden Christensen would reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker. After being missing from the Star Wars saga since Revenge of the Sith, Christensen will return as Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Many fans expected Rebels voice actor Tiya Sircar to play Sabine in live-action:
Of course, many fans hoped to see Rebels voice actor Tiya Sircar play Sabine in live-action, and while that isn’t the case, she recently expressed gratitude to fans for their support. “You guys are truly the greatest,” she said. I just wanted to say that I’ve seen all of your lovely tweets, memes, hashtags, and petitions, and you guys truly know how to make a girl feel appreciated. Thank you, friends, and I love you back. ” The debut date for Ahsoka has yet to be announced.
