Stranger Things Season 4 Beats Bridgerton For Highest Viewership On Debut Weekend
Stranger Things is an American Sci-Fi horror drama Television series by The Duffer Brothers. The first season of the series premiered on July 15, 2016, on Netflix. Consecutively, the second and third seasons were released in October 2017 and July 2019, respectively. The series gained a massive response for its thrilling theme and good direction.
Stranger Things 4: The New Record-Holder

It largely grew in numbers on the first day, clearly showing the love of fans. On the fourth day, the show was regarded as the Most viewed English Language Series on Netflix. The series counted over 286.79 million hours of viewing time during the week of May 23 to May 30, worldwide. This overtakes the count of the previous record-holder show, Bridgerton 2. Bridgerton 2 holds the watch time of 193 million hours during its week in March.
Bridgerton is an American Historical Romance television series by Chris Van Dusen. The first season was announced in January 2021, followed up by the second season, Bridgerton 2, on March 25. It is based on the Bridgerton Series by Julia Quinn and was streamed on Netflix.
The announcement of Stranger Things 4 also proved to be a boon for the prior three seasons of the show. It made them feature in Netflix’s global and the United States Top 10. They were one of the Top 10 viewed programs of the week same as Strange Things 4. People probably prepared themselves for the new season with context and a little revision before heading for the new season.
Will there be a Season 5?
The show is yet to release the second volume for the season which is expected to be on July 1, 2022. This season will have nine episodes. Besides, the production has begun renewing for season five already. In an open letter to fans shared through Netflix, the creators confirmed that there will be a Season 5 happening. Well, they also added that it shall be the last follow-up to the show, The Finale.
“Seven years ago, we planned out the complete story arc for ‘Stranger Things’. At the time, we predicted the story would last four to five seasons. It proved too large to tell in four, but — as you’ll soon see for yourselves — we are now hurtling toward our finale. Season 4 will be the penultimate season; season 5 will be the last. There are still many more exciting stories to tell within the world of ‘Stranger Things’; new mysteries, new adventures, new unexpected heroes. But first, we hope that you stay with us as we finish this tale of a powerful girl named Eleven and her brave friends, of a broken police chief and a ferocious mom, of a small town called Hawkins, and an alternate dimension known only as of the Upside Down. As always, we are grateful for your patience and support,” the letter read.
