Supernatural Prequel Is On Its Way And has Franchise Fans Already Worried
Well, we seem to have some good news for all ‘Supernatural’ fans! What took place a bit earlier today, some official confirmation from The CW network, that they’ve finally ordered a pilot for a prequel series to the beloved long-running fantasy-drama Supernatural. The series, titled The Winchesters will be focusing on the parents of Dean and Sam, also featuring star Jensen Ackles who will reprise to narrate and also serve as an executive producer (as fans may remember, earlier it had caused a slight rift between him and co-star Jared Padalecki, which has now been, thankfully, resolved). This upcoming show will be marking the third attempt to develop a spinoff for Supernatural although some fans are already worried about it, with some even assuming that it will end up changing the canon established by the earlier shows, or well, in the worst-case scenario, just be no good.
A Supernatural spin-off titled The Winchesters is coming!
“After Supernatural wrapped its 15th season, we knew it wasn’t over. Because like we say in the show, ‘nothing ever really ends, does it?'” Ackles had earlier revealed in a statement. “When Danneel and I formed Chaos Machine Productions, we knew the first story we wanted to tell was the story of John and Mary Winchester, or rather the Supernatural origin story. I always felt like my character, Dean, would have wanted to know more about his parents’ relationship and how it came to be. So I love the thought of having him take us on this journey.”
Supernatural alum Robbie Thompson is also all set to write and even direct the show, working in alongside Ackles and his new production company, Chaos Machine.

Here are some fan reactions to the new spinoff series:
Even Impossible has possible in it!
can someone ask Jensen at a con how he’s going to do this prequel without completely changing the history of Supernatural? It seems impossible.

ONLY TIE WILL TELL!
The prequel of Supernatural looks so boring. I will watch the first episode tho, but it doesn't look interesting to me yet

What are your thoughts on this?
I love Supernatural but a prequel series for John and Mary doesn't need to happen at all

YEP. THIS COULD BE GROUND-BREAKING! OR, AT LEAST WE HOPE THE SAME!
I'll tune in for the 1st episode of the Supernatural prequel just to give Jensen & Robbie the benefit of the doubt & out of curiosity to see how "forced together" John & Mary is twisted into an "epic love story". One episode. First impression. It better be freaking groundbreaking

As you notice that fans are quite worried while some are divisive, we hope that the upcoming The Winchesters serve as a better series than expected by most die-hard Supernatural fans!
