Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood With Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl is Not So Surprising, His Daughter’s Bold Comments Against the Icon May Have Sparked the Bitterness
- Taylor Swift and Dave Grohl may have started as friends, but things have gone south now.
- Grohl's daughter slammed Swift for using private jets, whereas Grohl himself accused the singer of not singing live at concerts.
- Swift responded during her concert by appreciating her crew's hard work.
The global and cultural phenomenon of Taylor Swift does not seem to slow down any time soon. The megastar has performed across the world and outsold tickets more than any other artist. Her claims to fame are many, including her head-bopping rhythms that sometimes make heartbreak sound like the coolest thing.
However, Swift has often faced negativity and hate comments from some people across the globe and sometimes even her peers in the industry. While some claim that these haters are jealous forces who couldn’t be as successful as her, there are others who have digged deeper to find the real reasons behind the rivalry.
Taylor Swift and Dave Growhl used to be Friends
The list of friends in Hollywood is surely small for most people, but the list of fierce enemies can often be endless. Everyone has their own opinions on actors and famous celebrities, and one cannot stop the other from expressing their views. More often than not, these views change over time. A situation akin to this happened with Taylor Swift and Foo Fighters singer Dave Grohl.
When they performed one after the other back in 2015, Grohl expressed nothing but love for the pop star. In fact, he even recalled an incident where Swift spared Grohl from an awkward situation at a party and went on to express how grateful he was for that. However, gradually, things started to go sour. Many times when their performances were closer together, Grohl hinted at some fear that he could not match her fandom and energy.
One possible reason behind their conflict that seems to be apparent to everyone is Violet Grohl’s comments against Swift early this year. Grohl’s daughter took to X and thrashed Swift’s choice to travel via a private jet, since that is harmful to the environment. As we all know by now, the massive horde of Swifties relentlessly defended their favorite icon from any backlash and instead subjected Violet to negativity and hatred. This even led to Violet deleting her X account.
Dave Grohl accused Taylor Swift of not singing live at concerts
After this, Grohl made another comment that suggested Swift does not sing live at her concerts. This further sparked a massive debate among the fans as her concerts are experiences that are meant to be savored by everyone with hearty delight.
When Foo Fighters performed at a concert back in June in London, Grohl said on stage,
I tell you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift. So we like to call our tour the ‘Errors Tour.’ We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few f–king errors as well. Just a couple. That’s because we actually play live. What? Just saying. You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You came to the right f–king place.
Swift did not take long to respond as she appreciated her crew and members who made the entire concert possible on stage. At the Wembley Stadium, the Bad Blood singer said,
Every one of my band members, every single one of our crew, my band who’s gonna be playing live for you for 3.5 hours tonight, they deserve this so much.
Such a strong accusation from one singer to another is not taken lightly. The Swifties are furious over these allegations while the singer herself chose to react with humble clarity. The tipping point between the two artists seems to be Violet’s comments against Swift, which seems to have resulted in a breakdown in their relationship.
