“Thank you fam”: Dwayne Johnson Reacts to Being Awarded One of the Highest Honors in Polynesian Football
We already know what a versatile personality Dwayne Johnson is. From wrestling in the ring to shining in wide-ranging roles on the big screen, The Rock has taken the world by storm, and we expect nothing less from the talented celebrity. He is currently working on Red One, a Christmas movie with Chris Evans and a live-action Moana movie but the slew of celebratory moments for Johnson keep on coming.

The 10-time WWE winner has a lot of achievements under his belt. Adding another feather to his cap, it was announced in November last year that Dwayne Johnson is now a part of the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame along with Domata Peko and Reno Mahe. The organisation honors the best coaches and players of Polynesian descent since 2013 when former National Football League players Jesse Sapolu and Maa Tanuvasa established the same. The wrestler and actor took to X to express his gratitude for getting the honour.

Johnson played football during his college days at the University of Miami in 1991. He took the team to newer heights and participated in The Hurricanes’ 1991 National Championship team. In a spirit to reconnect with his roots, Johnson relaunched XFL in 2020 and has been actively engaging with the next generation of football talent. Is there anything Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson doesn’t do? We wonder.
Dwayne Johnson’s Return to Wrestling
Johnson began his wrestling career in 1996 with the World Wrestling Federation. He then went on to be a part of WrestleMania in the following year. The wrestler amassed millions of fans across the world with his incredible skill in the ring. After conquering the wrestling world, Johnson entered Hollywood to try his hand at comedy and action roles. When that went well, he went back to the ring and made his wrestling comeback in the Monday Edition of RAW.
On the first night itself, Johnson did not shy away from challenging his cousin-rival Roman Reigns and aiming for the number 1 position instantly. The mega showdown is looming around the corner and fans are stoked to see what happens in WrestleMania 40. The duo have been long overdue for a fight in the ring and Johnson’s smashing comeback indicates the fight might happen sooner than we expect.
