We might say things we later regret, and celebrities are no different. The only problem is that their words are etched for eternity, all over the internet. This makes it harder for them to move on and clean the slate. The ongoing feud between rappers and musicians Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, and Drake took a drastic turn when everyone took a shot at each other and even included insults in their music tracks.

Things seem to be changing for the better since J. Cole chose to publically accept his errors and apologize to Kendrick Lamar during his recent performance at a music festival.

Cole regretted dissing Lamar in one of his tracks and stated that it was something he did rashly. Even though he is proud of the track called Might Delete Later, except for one part that reflects poorly on Lamar. He addressed the masses at the performance and said,

“It’s one part on that shit that make me feel like, ‘Man, that’s the lamest shit I ever did. in my f*****g life’ right? And, I know, this is not what a lot of people want to hear… I can hear my n***as up there right now like… ‘Nahhh, don’t do that.’ But, I gotta keep it 100 with y’all. I damn near had a relapse, right? Because, y’all heard some shit that happened two-three weeks ago, however long it was… Y’all heard that bazooka that was dropped on the motherf*****g game. “

Cole further said that he felt blessed to be a part of this game and stand among the greatness of the other artists. To avoid proverbial bloodshed, Cole realized that he had to set the record straight and start afresh. He then asked the audience if they love Kendrick Lamar and then stated that he loves him too.

At the end of the day, Cole saw the missteps he took and reached out to straighten the differences. He is fairly new in the realm of singers and musicians while Lamar has achieved success and made a place for himself. It was high time Cole raised the white flag and eliminated any negativity between the two rappers.

While the exact origins of the feud between J. Cole, Drake, and Kendrick Lamar are unknown, we know that they have dissed each other in their songs as they are referred to as the big three names in the world of rap music. The most noticeable shot was publicly taken in the song First Person Shooter, to which Lamar replied with his song Like That. It has been a practice for ages where rappers trade insults back and forth which sometimes goes beyond a limit.

Lamar’s ambitious plans for music and calling out other rappers to beware of his career added fuel to the fire. Drake responded that he was not afraid and would take every action in his stride. The feud between the three is a cold war, felt in their every move and appearance. J. Cole’s apology might do some good and bring the artists together since collaborative albums are always appreciated by the masses.
