What Cinema Tourism does for Countries
Cinema Tourism refers to, when tourists visit places where popular shows and movies are shot. Shows like Game of Thrones have put a very positive effect on the Croatian economy. The country largely depends on tourism and GOT’s streaming services have proved to be a boon for its tourism. The boost is the reason that HBO is allowed to shoot in Dubrovnik, which serves as the main location for the story.
It has done the same for other places like Paris (for Emily in Paris), Romania (for show Wednesday), Budapest (for The Witcher) and Slovakia and Czech Republic (for Stranger Things). The credit goes to the tourist’s inquisitiveness to explore these beautiful destinations.
