“The Death of X-Men”: One Hugh Hackman Scene From Deadpool & Wolverine Trailer Will be Absolutely Painful to Watch
Years of begging on Ryan Reynolds’ part and years of waiting on the fans’ part have finally fructified to give us the much-anticipated movie in recent times, Deadpool & Wolverine. Bringing back the bickering mutants who never see eye to eye on any matter, the movie promises to be a multiversal escapade with loads of fun and adrenaline-filled action scenes.
Directed by Shawn Levy, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are coming back in their iconic avatars to delight viewers across the Marvel and X-Men fandom.
Latest Trailer of Deadpool & Wolverine
In the first teaser of the movie, we got to see the Deadpool side of things. From the family he found in the misfits along the way to the Time Variance Authority abducting him to put things in order, the teaser featured the mercenary’s perspective for viewers to see how his life has fared after the events of Deadpool 2.
Now, in the recently released trailer, we get to see how Wolverine is doing. It appears to be him from another dimension, a place where he has let everybody down. Moving slightly away from the hilarious and raunchy signature tone of Deadpool, the trailer establishes a more solemn storyline where Wolverine has lost everything. His world is down to ashes, and he is struggling to keep his wits about himself.

A glimpse into the gut-wrenching journey Wolverine has been through, we get to see him break down at a cemetery. Many are speculating that the scene will show flashbacks and deaths of the other X-Men, leaving Wolverine to pick up the pieces. He has entirely given up hope and his will to live until Deadpool arrives on the scene. However, we see Wolverine’s utter lack of hope as he embraces the gun Deadpool puts on his head. It appears as if he has been waiting for an opportunity to welcome death.
The tone of the trailer picks up when the duo joins hands for a world-saving adventure. Deadpool urges Wolverine to reignite his hope to live and help him save the world. It seems to be Wolverine’s one last chance to prove he is worthy of his powers and can help people with them. Even though his personality has always been aloof and mysterious, he still hopes to save people and his world.
Wolverine’s Last Chance at Redemption
The central plot arc of the story in Deadpool & Wolverine hints at the latter’s one last effort to save the world. Being an anti-hero, Deadpool does not know anything about saving worlds, or so he claims in the trailer. However, Wolverine, being in the team X-Men, knows what’s at risk and what needs to be done to fix things. The string that binds them together is their aspiration to prove that they are better and can do better.
The death of his team might have left a lasting impact on Wolverine. While fans are intrigued to know how his world crumbled, it will be emotional to watch him lose everything. One of the favorite X-Men characters, Wolverine, is incredibly famous and is known for his immense powers and ability to heal in no time.
Deadpool & Wolverine will be released worldwide on July 26th, 2024.
