The new and upcoming sixth season of The Flash will continue the series with new adventures around the character. Not only with characters, but it seems as if there have been some developments in costumes as well.

A screencap from the premiere episode of Flash S6 shows Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen/The Flash in a new variant of his signature costume

Recently, TVLine revealed exclusive new looks for this fall’s upcoming and returning televised shows. One of them included a still from The Flash’s Season 6 premiere. In it, Grant Gustin, who plays Barry Allen/The Flash, is seen donned with a new costume that was previously shown in a magazine from July.

The Flash’s new costume is making its appearance at a significant period in the series, due to its awaited crossover in ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths.’ The Flash has been teasing Crisis on Infinite Earths for a very long time now, making it all the more interesting to see how it will build up and play out.

Grant Gustin will reprise his role as Barry Allen jn The Flash, where in the premiere he will be faced to make a sacrificial choice

Grant Gustin recently talked about the upcoming premiere of Flash Season 6, saying: “I can’t spoil too much because I haven’t read it yet. I’ve been teased a lot from our guys what it’s going to be. The Monitor shows up at the end of tour first episode and says the universe is in jeopardy and to save the universe, Barry Allen has to die. And Barry Allen doesn’t know about this deal Oliver made with the Monitor, either, so someone’s gonna die.”

Showrunner Todd Helbing On Crossover

“When I first read the pilot, and then I saw the pilot, I always assumed that [“Crisis on Infinite Earths”] would be the series finale,” Todd Helbing, the showrunner for Season 2 and 3, said in a previous interview. “So yeah, I like it a lot, moving it up. Look, there are so many things we can do after that. I think it’s a nice way to get to that sooner than later, and it has changed my view of the show. I think it is going to inject a new sense of energy into the show, which is a season-six show you always want. I think the timing is perfect.”
