Similar to last year, Netflix’s The Witcher is offering “Witchmas” treats to all fans this December apart from the release of its second season on December 17th. The first of these, chosen by The Law of Surprise by fans via social media poll, looks like the new look at Ciri’s training while at Kaer Morhen. And if we have to go by the video, the young woman will be getting her share of bruises this coming season.

“Ye of little faith,” The Witcher showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich stated of the clip on Twitter. “Sometimes you LOVE what The Law of Surprise gives you! Look at this little lion cub, all grown up…”

The second season of The Witcher will be launching on the streaming platform on 17th December. The Witcher sees Lauren S. Hissrich serving as showrunner on the show. It stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Freya Allan as Ciri, Joey Batey as Jaskier and Anya Chalotra as Yennefer. New cast members for Season 2 include Kim Bodnia as Vesemir, Young Wallender’s Yasen Atour as Coen, Basil Eidenbenz as Eskel, Agnes Bjorn as Vereena, Peaky Blinders’ Paul Bullion as Lambert, Aisha Fabienne Ross (The Danish Girl) as Lydia, Mecia Simson as Francesca, and Kristofer Hivju from the Game of Thrones as Nivellen, — among others.
