While superheroes like Spiderman got their popularity right from the beginning, some lacked the fortune. Many of these characters have become iconic today. But, they were not this successful when they debuted in the MCU.

Deadpool has become an iconic superhero who is known for his wall-breaking humor, ability to auto-heal, and violent combat style. But, the character failed to gain popularity until his first mini-series released in the 90s. It took years for him to become as popular as he is today.

The character was created to capitalize on the Kung-Fu movie craze. But his skills and techniques made him one of the toughest fighters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But surprisingly, the 70s Shang-Chi was not as successful as he is today.

But Hyperion’s recent starring roles have made him popular amongst the reader’s minds.

The Punisher

Iron Fist

Iron Fist was Marvel’s way to turn the 60s and 70s Kung-Fu craze into an opportunity. Danny Rand, AKA Iron Fist would get his own book soon. But the character was not as popular as successful as it is today. It only happened when he teamed up with Luke Cage.
