Spoiler Alert for One Piece Chapter 1119 and anime-only fans!

One Piece Chapter 1119 spoilers certainly took the entire fandom by storm, as Eiichiro Oda has finally started to unveil some of the mysteries of the One Piece series. The chapter gave fans a better understanding of Bonney’s newfound form, as well as gave fans an idea of how destructive the Iron Giant actually is.

However, one thing that really grabbed the attention of fans was the possibility of Franky using Haki. This started a whole discussion among the One Piece fans on X on how the Straw Hat pirates finally need to start using Haki.

Chapter 1119 spoiler supposedly has a panel where Luffy asks Bonny, Sanji, and Franky to attack his balloon body inorder to push Mars across the Ocean. Sanji uses IFrit Jambe: Hell Memories, Franky uses Strong Impact Right, and Bonny uses Nika no Punch. The attacks make Luffy shout “It Hurts” since they allegedly used Haki with their attacks.

This panel surprised fans as Franky isn’t a character who is able to use Haki and depends on his cyborg body and weapons to win fights. This did however give hope to fans as they believed that the Cyborg was finally able to use Haki.

However, an X user by the name @pewpiece would clarify by addressing that Franky hadn’t actually used Haki, as his attack wasn’t black like Sanji or Bonney’s. However, this did start a discussion among fans as they were unhappy with how only a few members of the Straw Hats were able to use Haki, despite being an Emperor level crew. Here are what some of the fans had to say in the comments.

It certainly is a little disappointing that the Straw Hats, despite being a Yonko crew, still has crew members who are unable to use Haki. But there are a few members in the crew who are able to use Haki, so without much more discussion let’s recall which of the Straw Hats have mastered the use of Haki, and the Straw Hats who have yet to unlock the skill.

Which members of the Straw Hat Pirates can use Haki?

There are three main types of Haki in the One Piece universe, which are namely Armament, Observation, and Conqueror’s Haki. The strongest fighters in the series have mastered the control over them. Luffy, being the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates and also the strongest member, has mastered all three types of Haki. Zoro, the right-hand man of the Straw Hat Pirates is the only other character in the crew who has also unlocked all three types of Haki.

Jinbe and Saji, as of now have mastered the Armament and Observation Haki, and are the two of the strongest characters in the crew aside from Luffy and Zoro. This leaves us with Usopp, the last character in the crew who has unlocked the ability to use Haki. Despite being one of the weakest characters in the group, Usopp has unlocked the use of Observation Haki, which greatly benefits his role as the sniper of the crew.

The remaining characters such as Franky, Robin, Chopper, Brooks and Nami are still yet to unlock their Haki. However given that the Straw Hats are facing stronger opposition as the show progresses, all characters need to master at least the Armament and Observation Haki if they are to stand a chance against foes such as Marine Admirals or the Blackbeard Pirates.
