“They think it’s gross and disgusting”: Kelly Ripa’s S*x Life With Husband Mark Consuelos Leaves Her Kids Disgusted
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are a couple that has been going strong even after 25 years of marriage. While most couples might lose the spark as years go by, these two have managed to maintain a happening s*x life over the course of a really long and thriving relationship. And what sets them apart from your regular married couple is that they don’t shy away from expressing their love for each other before the world, nor do they mind sharing spicy bedroom stories. And while their fans love hearing about what a healthy s*x life in a happy marriage looks like, there is one section of people who would rather pass on that opportunity – the Consuelos kids.
Kelly Ripa has always been vocal about her s*x life with Mark Consuelos
Kelly Ripa got her first book, Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories, published in 2022. It is a collection of stories from the 52-year-old’s own life. Some of these anecdotes are funny, some adventurous, some scandalous, and some emotional – life as it is. One of these chapters encapsulates a wild tale about something that unwinded in the bedroom and how Mark Consuelos ended up saving his wife after a funny series of events. While this is a hilarious peek into the couple’s intimate life, the Live host was careful to keep it from her kids.
Back in September, when the book was released, Ripa gave numerous interviews to promote her latest venture, and in one of those interviews with ExtraTV, she was asked,
“You guys do still have a very healthy sex life. You talk about it. You write about it. What do the kids think about how open you guys are about that aspect?”
And the All My Children alum had quite an answer prepared for this one.
How does Kelly Ripa manage to keep her bedroom stories a secret from the kids
The Generation Gap host addressed the question put forth to her, and said,
“This is what they think collectively, ready?… They think it’s gross and disgusting and nobody wants to picture their parents that way ever.”
She then went on to explain how she has kept her kids safe from a lifetime of cringe and trauma.
“That’s why I write the warning label at the top of that singular chapter because I think it’s important for them to know not to read it because they shouldn’t read it because it might gross them out as it should…”
The Hope and Faith actor then went on to share her own views about the particular wild story.
“…It grossed me out… I was like gross, this is gross… but in the context of, it was really more about telling a story about incredible Mark is, because he was 26 years old at the time that happened. Think about that. That is a young person. That is a young man who leapt in with both feet to extreme adulthood in a really precarious situation…”
She further shared,
“…You know we have a 25-year-old son and he is a gem and he’s an incredible person. He’s an amazing adult but I cannot picture him handling that stress level at that age.”
Like Ripa’s book, her fans did end up hoping that her kids don’t get to see this interview either because of the aforementioned comparison between Consuelos senior and junior.
