“Top Gun: Maverick is Pure Cinema”: Fans Celebrate Tom Cruise Movie After $150M Memorial Day Collection Decimates Box Office
Producer Jerry Bruckheimer has brought Top Gun again after decades, in 2022. Top Gun: Maverick AKA Top Gun 2 is directed by Joseph Kosinski and is distributed by Paramount Pictures. The draft was finished and the movie was set to be produced. But in 2012, Director Tony Scott, unfortunately, died of suicide. The grievance led the production to postpone further to 2017. Kosinski was then hired and he drafted a new screenplay for the sequel. The Principal Photography of the film ended in 2019 and so the release of the film was expected to be in the same year itself. However, due to some further unsettling schedules and the sudden wave of the deadly Covid-19 virus, the film was forced to delay further.
