An announcement has been made by Sony to release two Spider-Man Universe films in 2020. Not the films are currently untitled and while one would release on July 2020, another will make its way into the theatre on October 2.

While no other details have been provided yet, Variety has speculated that July release could be that of Morbius which will star Jared Leto in the lead. Morbius made his comic debut in 1971 as a biologist who became a Living Vampire.

However, the date for October could be for Venom 2 with Tom Hardy returning as Eddie Brock. Venom has already proven to be a huge box-office success. This success has given Sony a lot of confidence in its plan to dwell further into the Spider-Verse with spinoff films which don’t include the Spider-Man.
