Two New Nintendo Switch Models Could Be Revealed Soon!
A new report has suggested that Nintendo has begun production on Nintendo Switch new models and it could also be preparing to reveal them soon.
Nintendo Producing And About To Reveal New Switch Models
The Wall Street Journal first broke the news back in March that the company was reportedly working on two Nintendo Switch new models. One of those would be a more powerful version of the existing Switch while the second would theoretically be geared more towards casual gamers.
The Wall Street Journal again reported on the news that Nintendo has opted to move some of its Switch production out of China and into Southeast Asia due to the threat of U.S. tariffs being imposed on electronics from the company. That same report hinted at the future of the Switch and when we might hear more about it.
But whether those Switch models are still planned or not and the specifics surrounding them remain unconfirmed, but The Wall Street Journal cited in its new report that people who were “involved in the supply chain” had said production has begun in Southeast Asia for the Switch. To be more precise, it was said that the production had begun both on the existing model as well as on the new models. This led the outlet to theorize that the company might be preparing to reveal the updated versions of the Switch soon, though the sources involved with the supply chain were unwilling to give volume figures pertaining to these Switches.
Nintendo Hasn’t Given Any New Switch Updates
Nintendo hasn’t shared a comment with The Wall Street Journal regarding the new models, but it did say that the Switches are being produced mostly in China and that the company is always exploring options.
It should be noted that Nintendo didn’t share anything about Switch and plans regarding it at its E3 conference this year. A lot of videogame announcements were made but nothing related to hardware.
While Nintendo hasn’t hinted at any plans till now, it would be wise to look for some announcements regarding the same in the future.
