Fans are excited to see how Spader’s robot villain will make a comeback. The new series will pick up where WandaVision left off, giving us more about Vision’s story and his messy ties with Ultron. This new chapter gives Marvel fans a chance to relive old favorites while also enjoying new tales and surprises.

James Spader’s Ultron Makes an Unexpected Return in WandaVision Spin-Off

James Spader’s Ultron was last seen getting a big superhero beatdown in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. Yet, his surprising return to the new Vision series is bound to stir things up in the MCU. In the Marvel universe, Ultron started off as Tony Stark’s ambitious AI creation, meant to protect Earth, but instead decided humanity wasn’t worth saving. He even built his own robot, Vision.

Before Vision could wake up, the Avengers took his body. Vision came to life when Tony Stark’s old AI, J.A.R.V.I.S., was put into him. This made Vision a mix of Ultron’s bad side and J.A.R.V.I.S.’s good side. Luckily, Vision chose to help the Avengers instead of his ‘dad’ Ultron, helping them save the day.

The series is about the vibranium-based android trying to understand himself and his past. Paul Bettany returns as Vision, the robot who loved Scarlet Witch and was destroyed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. In WandaVision, he came back with magic and grief. However, in the new series, he will appear ghostly white instead of his old self.

Now Ultron, who was thought to be gone for good, is coming back in the WandaVision spin-off. His return might give us new clues about his complicated bond with Vision. This revival not only brings back a fan-favorite villain but also lets us explore his reasons and what makes him tick.

Elizabeth Olsen’s Reported Possible Return in the Spin-off

According to Deadline, adding to the excitement is the possibility of Elizabeth Olsen coming back as Wanda Maximoff. Given how important she was in Vision’s past stories and their close connection, her appearance in the series would be highly anticipated.

Wanda’s biggest recent role was in WandaVision, where her bond with Vision was central to the story. If she returns, it could help resolve some ongoing storylines. Details are still scarce, though.

The series is the final part of a trilogy that began with WandaVision and continues with Agatha All Along, set to premiere in September on Disney+. Filming for the new show is scheduled to start in England in early 2025.
