At an event organized by Vanity Fair, Dormer shared how characters are written off the show and how they are subsequently informed about it. She revealed,

We normally get a phone call from Dan and David, the creators of the show. My understanding is that there is homage paid that way . . . but that’s as far as the ritual goes from my understanding.
