While professional stunt performers are typically responsible for executing life-threatening stunts, certain actors have unexpectedly found themselves on the receiving end of stunts that went awry.
In "Mission: Impossible – Fallout" (2018), Cruise had a close call while jumping from a plane at 25,000 feet, narrowly avoiding a mid-air collision with a camera operator.
Chan suffered burns and a head injury while sliding down a pole in "Police Story" (1985) and fell from a tree, requiring surgery, during "Armour of God" (1986).
