Tom Cruise's wild Mission: Impossible BTS stories not only highlight his appetite for stuntwork but also explain why the franchise is so great.
The Mission: Impossible movie series has received widespread critical acclaim as one of the standout action franchises still in production.
Tales of Cruise's daring stunt work, grueling training regimens, and willingness to push the production are all embedded in the franchise.
A few weeks ahead of the release of the much-awaited movie, Cruise shared a behind-the-scenes clip of the death-defying stunt where he can be seen riding off a cliff while on a motorcycle.
The short clip opens with Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie talking about the stunt or "the most dangerous thing they have attempted."
Tom Cruise can be seen saying, "What am I doing, this is a terrible idea," but almost instantly he backtracks and says, "When do we start."
"Flying very close to rocks looks quite beautiful, behind the scenes, we were in absolute terror," Director McQuarrie said. "It is truly a one-of-a-kind adventure."
Dead Reckoning Part One sees Cruise star alongside Pegg, Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, releasing on 12th July 2023.
