What is OiiOii AI? World’s First AI Animation Agent Platform Explained

Animation has traditionally required a full crew: a writer, a designer, a storyboard artist, a composer, an editor. OiiOii AI is trying to fold all of those roles into software. It is marketed as the first AI agent platform purpose-built for animation and launched in the U.S. after a beta period that saw 100,000 people apply for 100 spots.

One person types out an idea, and a coordinated system of AI agents turns it into a finished animated short, without the person ever needing to learn prompt engineering or production workflow. So, how is OiiOii AI poised to change the video generation market? Read on.

How is OiiOii AI Different from Other Video Generation Tools?

The typical AI video tool places the entire production burden on the user. The workflow goes like this: you write a prompt, generate a clip, notice something’s off, rewrite the prompt, and repeat that cycle scene after scene. It works, but it is a slow process that assumes the user has other skills, such as shot planning, continuity management, and more.

OiiOii‘s structure is different because it isn’t one model responding to one prompt. It’s seven separate agents, each assigned a specific job. The agents handle writing, character design, scene design, storyboarding, scoring, and final rendering. They all activate off a single idea and work with each other automatically. The system runs the production in the direction provided by the user.

This matters most when it comes to keeping a story visually intact from one shot to the next. AI generators don’t retain memory between outputs by default, so a character can drift subtly with every new clip because each generation is created in isolation. While it is not an issue for a single clip, it becomes a problem when a ten-video story structure is needed.

OiiOii tries to prevent that drift before it happens rather than fixing it afterward. A face-identity system fixes what a character looks like at the outset, and a shared asset library keeps that character, along with the scene’s settings and visual style, locked in place across every subsequent shot.

The platform draws on a large bank of generation models. More than 30 models are used, including current-generation Seedance, and the software offers upward of 200 visual styles to choose from. Whatever gets produced belongs to the creator with no restrictions on commercial use.

OiiOii AI Can Also Recreate and Reimagine Existing Videos

OiiOii isn’t limited to building animations from a blank page. It also has a recreation feature that can take an existing video and use it as a structural template for something new. It does not copy the footage itself; the system studies how the video is built, how long each shot runs, how scenes cut into one another, and applies that same structural pattern to freshly generated content (via The AI Journal).

This means a brand or creator could take a video that already performed well and rebuild it around different characters and a different look, while keeping the pacing and editing rhythm that made the original effective.

The same idea carries over into sound. A brief voice clip is given to the system, and it extracts the distinguishing qualities of that voice. It is labeled as a speaker profile, which can be used to keep the voice consistent throughout the video. Background music is not pulled from a generic library either. It is generated specifically to fit the pace and mood of each scene.
