After the successful release of Hawkeye on Disney+, Marvel fans are quite eager for the next MCU TV show. As Phase 3 of MCU concluded in 2019, Marvel Studios had a long break in 2020 due to the COVID-19. However, since then, the studio has come out in full swing, with 5 Disney+ shows and 4 films and the upcoming year also looks quite set to expand the scope and scale of the Marvel Cinematic Universe like never before.

Hawkeye Ends 2021 For Marvel Studios

Hawkeye finale
Hawkeye finale just premiered on Disney+

All Disney+ Marvel shows have been extremely successful until now, giving more creative room to writers to fully explore more character traits and nuances of heroes in the Marvel Universe. WandaVision saw the fourth phase off to a start in January 2021, followed by Falcon and the Winter Soldier in March. The month of June brought Loki which gave fans the taste of Multiverse, and the second season for the series is already in development. What If…? premiered in August and while it was more niche than other Marvel shows, it was still pretty well made. As 2021 came to an end, Hawkeye finally gave Clint Barton his own limelight.

Ms. Marvel Is Set To Debut In MCU!

The next Marvel character to get her own series will be Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel. The series will debut in 2022 and will consist of 6 episodes, just like Loki, Hawkeye, and Falcon, and the Winter Soldier. While we don’t have a release date yet, the show has completed its filming and is expected to debut in mid-2022. Originally, the show was slated for a late 2021 release, but the Disney+ calendar was already too full for another 2021 release, with Star Wars show The Book of Boba Fett taking the final slot after the end of Hawkeye.

While Ms. Marvel isn’t an established name like Hawkeye, the upcoming show can still be quite intriguing for Marvel fans. The Ms. Marvel show will show Kamala’s hero-worship of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, The Avengers, especially Captain Marvel aka Carol Danvers as Kamala tries to fit in until she gets her own powers, to eventually become Ms. Marvel. The series will feature the first Muslim lead character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Iman Vellani playing the lead role. The show will also co-star Matt Lintz, Rish Shah, and Mohan Kapur. The series sees Bisha K. Ali serving as its executive producer and writer while Adil El Arbi and Billal Fallah serve as directors on the series.

2022 Will Also Be A Huge Year For MCU!

Disney+
She-Hulk is also set to premiere

The Ms. Marvel TV show might just be the beginning for Kamala Khan, who will then make her big-screen debut in the Captain Marvel sequel, The Marvels, which will also be part of Phase 4 of MCU. While Hawkeye ends the busiest year in Marvel history, the upcoming months will also see Oscar Isaac as Moon Knight, Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk and Samuel Jackson will also return as Nick Fury in Secret Invasion. Apart from this, Werewolf By Night is also set to have a Halloween Special, and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will end 2022 with a blast!
