Mindy Kaling has recently listed her NYC downtown apartment for $2.75 million. The listing is held by Carl Gambino and Reilly Adler of Compass. In 2017, she decorated the two-bedroom, two-bathroom home into a chic-looking interior, and shared the finished product online. It was adorned with a luxurious living room, an A-list guest room, a beautiful dining area, an elegant kitchen, and more. She decorated the house with the help of One Kings Lane and the result was a truly gorgeous house. When walking into the decorated house, Mindy Kaling said that she felt she was in the wrong house. “I thought, ‘who is this chic person who lives here? It’s not me, it looks amazing!‘” The reveal had surprised her greatly.
Mindy Kaling says she hopes to keep her guest room open for special visitors
Her family has now outgrown the property but Mindy Kaling says that she is still saving up her guest room for some special visitors. She mentioned,
“So I don’t know, George Clooney if he needed a place to stay in New York City if he’s not in Lake Como or his mansion in the Hollywood Hills. I think he and Amal would enjoy this room and there would be something for each of them to love.”
The chic property has a neutral scheme design. The house comes with an open concept, 10-foot ceilings, a chef’s kitchen, and plenty of closet space. Both bathrooms are outfitted in Blue de Savoie tile and the primary en-suite features a deep Kohler soaking tub. All of these specifics have a great appeal to buyers.

The luxury house was designed by architect Richard Gluckman. It features several wall-to-wall windows with picturesque views of the Williamsburg Bridge, Kenmare Street, and Petrosino Square.
Mindy Kaling opts for a brighter look in her new LA house
Mindy Kaling now also owns a house in Los Angeles. She decorated and redesigned the new house with interior designer Katie Ridder. With a much brighter design, she looked for more open space. “Mindy wanted to be able to seat a lot of people and have an open floor plan,” stated Ridder, regarding Mindy Kaling’s work.
“It’s a little Wes Anderson,” Kaling had said. The new house is adorned with bright colors, a pop of patterns and shades, and a whole lot of personality.
Recently, Mindy Kaling has also opened up about the joys of simple life at the house with her two children, Katherine Swati, 4, and Spencer Au, 2.
