‘Why’s Marvel Being Youth-Ageist?’: Absurd Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Poster Shows Cassie Lang Wearing Converse After Ms. Marvel, Ignites Fierce Fan Debate
Marvel Studios Director of Visual Development & Concept Artist Andy Park shared a poster he had illustrated for the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania giving fans a first official look at the characters, costumes, and Kang the Conqueror.

In the poster, illustrated by Andy Park, fans get to see Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly’s Hope van Dyne/Wasp, and what is presumed to be Kathryn Newton’s Cassie Lang in her own new suit, while Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors) can be seen behind the trio.

Fans accused Marvel of being youth-ageist
In the poster, Kathryn Newton’s Cassie Lang can be seen wearing her own new suit. She is wearing converse just like Kamala Khan in Ms. Marvel. This sparked debates among fans on Twitter as many people accused Marvel of being a youth-ageist.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will release on February 17, 2023
At the San Diego Comic-Con, Kevin Feige revealed that Phase 5 of MCU will kick off in 2023 with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which will release on February 17, 2023. Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly will return as Scott Lang/Ant-Man and Hope van Dyne/Wasp, respectively. The two were last seen by fans in Avengers: Endgame. Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer will also reprise their roles as Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne.
The movie will also feature Kathryn Newton as she now takes over the role of Cassie Lang, a character who was previously portrayed by Abby Ryder Fortson in the first Ant-Man films and Emma Fuhrmann in Avengers: Endgame. Jonathan Majors have also been cast as Marvel villain Kang the Conqueror, and Bill Murray is also expected to appear in the movie for an undisclosed role.
Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will release in theatres on 17th February 2023.
