“William and Kate’s team was not happy”: Kate Middleton Reportedly Was Insecure of Meghan Markle, Felt Overshadowed After Meghan Stole the Spotlight With Her Revelations on Royal Tour
The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton and Prince of Wales, William were not happy at all that Meghan overshadowed them by speaking about her mental health problems during a royal tour, as per the claims by Royal author Valentine Low.
Kate Middleton and husband William were on a tour to Pakistan back in October 2019, a five-day visit with the objective to focus on boosting ties and addressing challenges such as climate change, during which the Sussex’s royal couple Prince Harry and Meghan also went to South Africa for tour where Meghan Markel stole the limelight with her engrossing comments.
Meghan Markle opens up about her mental health issues
During her famous interview with ITV’s Tom Bradby in 2019 South Africa tour with her husband Prince Harry, Meghan was asked if she was okay, and she told Tom, “Thank you for asking because not many people have asked if I’m okay, but it’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes.”
At the time, She was almost in tears when she continued, “Any woman, especially when they’re pregnant, you’re really vulnerable. So, that was made really challenging. And, then when you have a newborn, and especially as a woman, it’s a lot. So, you add this on top of just trying to be a new mom or trying to be a newlywed.”
Mr. Bradby was travelling with the Sussexes and their newborn son Archie on the 10-day tour while he collected footage for the film.
New claims in Royal Author Valentine Low’s recent book
Valentine Low, a journalist at The Times who has been writing about the royal family for over a quarter of a century, has talked about Kate Middleton and Prince William’s alleged reaction to Meghan’s talk at the ITV show in the new controversial book Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown, reported Mirror UK. A preview of Tom’s documentary, Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, was screened for the media while William and Kate were in Pakistan and it “overshadowed” their coverage, he said.
Mr. Low wrote: “William and Kate’s team was not happy, it seems, and saw it as a deliberate attempt to knock the couple out of the headlines.” He clearly indicated towards the fact that the relations between the two households became quite tense and awkward. According to him, the documentary had also shown not only Meghan’s clearly visible suffering but also how far Harry and William had drifted further over an 18-month period.
