The previous slasher spin on Disney’s classic tale, Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, was hit with a foreseen success that has led to its gory, outrageous sequel. Given that the horrific debut made an astounding $4.9 million worldwide with a microbudget of less than $100,000. Despite his 3% Rotten Tomato score, the movie was relatively well-received by the audience.

The director, Rhys Frake-Waterfield, confirmed that the upcoming thriller will be crafted on a much larger scale than the initial one. Also, he is expecting to release the violent flick in February as a counterpart to Valentine’s vibe.

“Blood and Honey 2 will have five times the budget of the first one, but it could be substantially more than that as well, which would do absolute wonders for the film.

In, Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, Disney’s sweet and loving characters, Pooh and Piglet, are portrayed as wicked and vile criminals seeking revenge against Christopher Robin, who is depicted abandoning them, leading them to transform into ruthless savages. At the end of the movie, we see Christopher Robin manage to kill the bear in a highly violent way by crushing him between the car and setting it on fire.

However, Pooh rises from the flame, indicating that it possesses supernatural qualities, igniting not just one but more sequels. Additionally, in the ending, Pooh utters his very first word to Robin, “You left”, after refusing to spare Maria’s life. This also suggests a sequel with more vocals and a maniacal Pooh bear.

As per the official X account of the movie, Nikolai Leon will be reprising the role of Christopher Robin. The prominent character from Disney, Tigger, who was absent in the prequel, is likely to be introduced in Blood and Honey 2.
