Looks like the Snyderverse is not dead yet. Despite the critical acclaim of Zack Snyder’s Justice League on HBO Max, Warner Brothers is largely ignoring fan demands to make a sequel. The Snyderverse is all but dead, forever tarnished by the legacy of the infamous Josstice League. And like the Joker once said, if you have to do it right, you got to do it yourself. So if the fans could not make the studio do a Justice League sequel, they will take matters into their own hands. Whether Warner Brothers wants it or not, a Zack Snyder’s Justice League 2 is coming.
And the fans are using the storyboards from Zack Snyder, Jim Lee, and Geoff Johns to turn it into a motion comic book.
As of now, the future of the Snyderverse is confined to the bits and pieces of information released over various interviews and social media posts by Snyder. There were a few pieces of concept arts “leaked” online and in other comic book conventions and events. Using the same information, a rough draft for the story for Zack Snyder’s Justice League 2 could be easily created.
Justice League 2 would have taken the story to the Knightmare timeline shown in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Story boards for Justice League 2 and Justice League 3 include Lex Luthor, the Injustice League, various Flash Villains, Batman, Wonder Woman, and more.
The Fan Project Making It All Possible
The Dreamscapes of the Justice League: A Motion Comic, is a non profit fan project. The project will be run by fans, converting the storyboards of Zack Snyder, Geoff Johns, and Jim Lee into a feature length motion comic film. What’s even more intriguing about the project is the fact that Justice League’s Darkseid actor – Ray Porter, will narrate the movie.
The film will be an attempt to support the #RestoreTheSnyderverse campaign. It is also a part of the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention. The teaser for Zack Snyder’s Justice League 2 motion comic film has already been released:
Zack Snyder’s Justice League followed Earth’s titular heroes going after Darkseid. The ruler of Apokolips wants to terraform Earth in his quest to search for the Anti-Life Equation. In the Knightmare Sequence, it is revealed that Darkseid managed to get hold of the Anti-Life equation, capable of subjugating any sentient being by proving life is meaningless. He used it on Superman, turning him into Darkseid’s henchman. The Earth is in ruins and inches away from annihilation. Batman leads a motley group of superheroes and former supervillains in one last stand against Darkseid.
Justice League 2 would have taken things to a whole new levels. The Riddler would have solved the Anti-Life equation. The strain of the equation would have been too much for him. The Riddler would kill himself in front of Batman. Black Manta and Ocean Master would have murdered Aquaman. Doctor Poison would end Wonder Woman’s life. The Flash would escape death after being attacked by Captain Cold but Cyborg would have paid the ultimate price. Lex Luthor would die in front of Superman, leading to the events of Justice League 3. the Flash would then run back in time to rewrite history. Superman and the rest of Earth’s superheroes would have joined forces with the Green Lantern Corps. Together they fight Darkseid, ending his tyranny once and for all.
All of these story elements will definitely be in the Zack Snyder’s Justice League 2 motion comic film.
