While these fans are very kind to their favorite artist, they can also be very lethal to anyone who tries to put the Lover singer down.

In the last 5 months, a lot has happened in the music industry. From Taylor Swift releasing a brand new album, which is a double album much to her fans’ delight, to Kendrick Lamar feuding with Drake through diss tracks, music fans have not been able to catch much of a break. With Billie Eilish’s recent comments, it looks like there are going to be fan wars.

Billie Eilish is one of the youngest music icons. She rose to recognition with the song Ocean Eyes, which was written, mixed, and produced by her brother Finneas. In 2018, she released her first studio album When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, which made her the first 21st-century artist to release a chart-topping single (Bad Guys) and win all four general field categories at the Grammys.

3 years after the release of her second studio album Happier Than Ever, Eilish is back to take over the charts with her third album, Hit Me Hard and Soft. Critics praised the album soon after its release, and her fans have been just as appreciative. These days, she is busy with the promotion of the album, and in a recent interview, she said something that might offend Swifties.

In an interview for Apple Music, Eilish and her brother invited Zane Lowe to their home where they discussed the singer’s new album. Addressing her second album, the Therefor I Am singer told Lowe:

I think for that one we just didn’t put that much into it. That’s why there’s 16 songs. Nobody needs that many songs.

Eilish’s new album has only 10 songs, whereas Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology features 31 songs. This has led many to believe that the What Was I Made For? singer’s words might have been a dig at Swift.

Just like every artist has the liberty to put out whatever they feel is the best of them, every fan gets to choose whether they like the artist’s work or not. This is not the first time Eilish’s words are being considered a dig at the Look What You Made Me Do singer, and there is no telling if this will be the last.

Some fans agree with what Eilish said about putting too many songs in one album, while others are not very happy about it. Here is what some of them had to say:

There is no surety whether Eilish truly meant to take a dig at Swift or not, but her words have definitely ignited a feud between the fans of both artists. Hopefully, these fans will put all this behind them soon, and continue to support Eilish and Swift.
