Mike Flanagan’s horror anthology on Netflix has garnered a lot of fans. And while the second instalment – The Haunting of Bly Manor didn’t do as well as the first one – The Haunting of Hill House, the shows still have their moments.

From the actors to the creepy children to the houses themselves, there has been so much to talk about and appreciate. And horror fans are always up for something new to devour.

So keeping in mind the two Netflix horror shows, here is a list of other shows – horror or otherwise, that you might like if you liked The Haunting of Hill House and Bly Manor.

  1. Lovecraft Country

Lovecraft Country follows Atticus, his Uncle George, and his friend Leti as they road trip across 1950s America, searching for Atticus’s missing dad. The show is a brilliant blend of sci-fi and horror. After all it is produced by JJ Abrams and Jordan Peele.

The only thing we can say for you to watch this show is – Rahul Kohli. That man is a genius and we absolutely adore him. And if you liked him in Bly Manor, then do now forget to check him out as Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti on iZombie where the zombie apocalypse is almost on the verge of happening.

  1. Penny Dreadful

Penny Dreadful is probably one of the best shows in the horror genre. Starring actors like Eva Green, Josh Hartnett and Timothy Dalton, the show gets classic stories like that of Dracula, Frankenstein and the Picture of Dorian Gray to weave this masterpiece to fight evil.

  1. Castle Rock

Inspired by Stephen King’s novel, Castle Rock is set in King’s multiverse, where you get to some very familiar places and instances. This horror show starring people like Bill Skarsgard and Lizzy Caplan have some very interesting things happening in the town of Castle Rock.

  1. Years and Years

T’Nia Miller’s Hannah Grose in The Haunting of Bly Manor was a fan favorite. And if you like here in the show, Years and Years should be the next on your list. The limited series follows the lives of the members from Lyons family over the course of time and is a great watch overall.

Carla Gugino was probably one of our favorite people from The Haunting of Bly Manor. And if you liked her there, you should definitely check out Jett where she plays a world renowned thief, who has just come out of prison is ready to get back into business.

One of Netflix’s first original shows, Hemlock Grove is an underrated horror series that you might have missed when it first came out. Set in the town of Hemlock Grove, this show follows its characters as a string of strange events take place in their midst.

So we all loved Victoria Pedretti in Hill House and then Bly Manor, right? Well then, do not miss her out on the Penn Badgley starring Netflix thriller You. Badgley plays a man who falls in love with someone as soon as he meets them and then does horrible things to “protect” them.

The series follow Dracula – played by Jonathan Rhys Meyers, roaming the streets of London as an American entrepreneur Alexander Grayson. And if you are wondering why we think you should see this, that’s because it also stars Oliver Jackson-Cohen from Hill House and Bly Manor.
