Brad Pitt and George Clooney are two of the most exceptional actors in the industry who have appeared together in various movies, including 2008’s Burn After Reading and the Ocean’s series from 2001 to 2007. Apart from serving extremely attractive looks on-screen, the two of them justified their characters on-screen, proving to be one of the best duos ever seen on the big screen.

Two of the most talented and brilliant actors, George Clooney and Brad Pitt, who shared the screen space almost sixteen years ago in 2008’s Burn After Reading, are coming together for a suspense thriller, Wolfs. The two of them are going to portray the characters of hired fixers who are forced to work together and soon find the night spiraling out of their control in ways neither of them had expected.

Jon Watts, who is known for directing Tom Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy, not only directed the movie but also wrote it, and is producing it alongside Dianne McGunigle. The movie also stars Euphoria-famous actor Austin Abrams, Amy Ryan, and Poorna Jagannathan.

In the 30-second trailer, no words have been used. It merely shows the two actors sitting in a moving vehicle with a carload of uncomfortable silence, tension, and, of course, a squeaky windshield wiper.

According to reports by Deadline, Clooney has a lot of faith in the upcoming movie, as he revealed to the publication last year

We’re already talking about the sequel for this film I did with Brad and Jon Watts. It was a great shoot, and Jon is an extraordinarily talented guy who’s also really joyful. He loves what he does. We had a blast doing it, and we’ve seen it. It’s an off-the-chart great film, and it’s fun to work with Brad again. We had a really good time.

Earlier this year, Clooney spoke to Total Film and shared that it’s a really good movie, adding that he loves the director. The actor noted that they did a screening of the movie, and the place kind of went batsh*t for it. He added that they think that the movie is really fun, dark, and nutty, pointing out that it feels like an R-rated Ocean’s film.

Source notes George Clooney and Brad Pitt took real interest in Wolfs

A source close to the actors shared with People magazine that both George Clooney and Brad Pitt are excited about the audience watching their movie. They have a great friendship and were thrilled to be working together again after a really long time. The source further said,

Wolfs was a meaty project, and both took a real interest in it. They are excited about the film and enjoying the hell out of it as time leads up to its release.

During his Deadline interview, Clooney clarified that the two of them actually gave their money back to ensure that the movie would get a theatrical release. He said,

We met with David Zaslav, and he was like, ‘Look, I think every movie we do will go to streaming, but we want it released first because there’s an actual benefit in having your movie out, be successful, be promoted, and it actually changes how many people watch it in streaming.

Clooney added that the two actors made a deal, and decided to give their salaries back to make sure that the movie got a theatrical release, adding that it wasn’t as popular an opinion as it has become in recent times. He pointed towards the success of Oppenheimer and Barbie, which were successful in theaters as well as on streaming platforms.

Wolfs premieres on September 20, 2024, and will eventually be available on Apple TV+ for streaming as well.
